Natural Ways to Whiten Yellow Teeth at Home Without Chemicals

8. Oil Pooling

Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic practice that has long been used for oral hygiene and dental care. Even today, many people make this a part of their daily routine. It helps keep the teeth and gums healthy. Coconut oil is most widely used for oil pulling. Coconut oil contains lauric acid, which is highly effective in reducing harmful bacteria present in the mouth.

When oil is swished around in the mouth for some time, it helps dislodge dirt and bacteria trapped between the teeth and gums. Regular oil pulling can reduce plaque and make teeth appear cleaner. This process is very simple: in the morning, on an empty stomach, take one tablespoon of pure coconut oil and slowly swish it around in your mouth for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Coconut oil contains 92% saturated acids, 50% of which are lauric acid. Monoglycerides of lauric acid and monolaurin exhibit antimicrobial activity against various microorganisms.

After this, spit out the oil, rinse with clean water, and brush your teeth. Oil pulling is beneficial for cleaning the teeth. For even better results, it should be adopted alongside regular oral hygiene.
