Jessie was the middle daughter of Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of the United States, and his wife Ellen Louise Exton. Instead of leading a high and civilized life, she dedicated her life to social service and women's rights. She played an important role in the struggle for women's suffrage and also worked for the YWCA. She became the secretary of the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee. Jessie also helped her father establish the League of Nations.
